Dr. Kokkonen is a Board Certified member of the American Academy of Dermatology and is eager and excited to begin working with our wonderful patients.

Reyna D. Swift, M.D.

We are excited to welcome the newest member of our provider team, Dr. Reyna D. Swift. She joined the Valley View Dermatology, in August, where she provides general and cosmetic dermatology services to patients in our Salem, Keizer, and Wilsonville offices. She enjoys seeing patients of any age, gender, ethnicity, and orientation for a broad range of skincare needs. She was initially drawn to the dermatology specialty due to the opportunities it provides to develop long term and collaborative relationships with patients while treating problems in the skin that can be seen and observed by both the patient and the physician. Skin problems pose unique psychosocial challenges that are often as important to address as the skin issue itself and she enjoys helping patients find ways to navigate these challenges. She is also fascinated by the multitude of diseases of the skin and the various ways they can present.

Dr. Swift completed dermatology residency at the University of Southern California, where she trained in a number of private and public hospitals and clinics, including Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Hospital, a Veteran’s hospital in downtown Los Angeles, and the USC/Keck Academic Center clinic and hospital. She has broad training in inpatient and outpatient adult and pediatric dermatology, surgery, lasers, and cosmetics. She appreciates the opportunity to treat all diseases of the skin.

Dr. Swift is very excited to be back in the Northwest! She grew up in eastern Washington and attended college at Willamette University in Salem, where she met her husband who is a Salem native. After spending two years in clinical and scientific research at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, she attended medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle. In her free time, Dr. Swift enjoys spending time with family, traveling, playing with and training her puppy Albert, running, hiking, playing board games, and art.
