Dr. John Currie is a physician and surgeon who has been with the Dermatology Clinic since 1970. He also serves as an Associate Staff Member at the Salem Hospital and a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the Oregon Health & Sciences University (OHSU) Department of Dermatology.
Dr. Currie studied at the United States Naval School of Aerospace Medicine in 1965 and received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine in 1963.
He is a member of the American Medical Association, Marion-Polk County Medical Society, Oregon Dermatology Society and Oregon Medical Association. Dr. Currie is also an Aviation Medical Examiner for the FAA and is a Colonel, Retired, from the Oregon Army National Guard.
S. Jon Denton, M.D.
Dr. Denton has been with the Dermatology Clinic since 1987. He received his degree from OHSU in 1982. He completed his residency training at St. Vincent Hospital in Portland, OR in 1983 and University of Iowa Hospital, Dermatology in 1987. He was Board Certified with the American Board of Dermatology in 1987.
Currently, he serves as an Associate Staff Member of Salem Hospital and is affiliated with the American Medical Association, Marion-Polk County Medical Society, Oregon Dermatology Society and Oregon Medical Association.
Michael E. Goodenberger, M.D.
A member of the Dermatology Clinic staff since 1992, Dr. Michael Goodenberger earned his doctorate from the University of Iowa Medical College in 1986, and acted as the Co-Chief Resident at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics while completing his residency in dermatology in 1990.
Dr. Goodenberger takes great pride in helping friends, family, and neighbors within the Salem community, and strives to ensure that every patient leaves the Dermatology Clinic feeling confident they have received the highest quality medical care possible. In addition to his role at the clinic, Dr. Goodenberger serves as an Associate Staff Member at the Salem Hospital.
Dr. Goodenberger has received his Board Certification from the American Board of Dermatology and is a certified Mohs Fellow with the American Society of Mohs Surgery. Dr. Goodenberger enjoys membership in a variety of prestigious organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the Oregon Dermatology Society, Oregon Medical Association, and the Marion-Polk County Medical Society.
Shashi K. Srinivasan, M.D.
Dr. Shashi Srinivasan joined the Dermatology Clinic in 2006 after previously holding a position at the University of Nebraska’s VAMC Department of Dermatology. It was at the University of Nebraska that Dr. Srinivasan earned his Medical Sciences degree in 1995 following his graduation from the Kilpauk Medical College in Tamil Nadu, India with a Bachelors in Medicine & Surgery. Dr. Srinivasan would complete his residency in dermatology at the renowned Mayo Clinic in 2001 after completing a prior residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1998.
In his role at the Dermatology Clinic, Dr. Srinivasan helps patients of all ages deal with mild and/or severe dermatological problems. Dr. Srinivasan believes in educating patients about every step of the treatment process so they can make informed decisions about how they want to proceed with the care they receive. The open, holistic approach Dr. Srinivasan takes to the treatment of health and disease ensures that every patient receives the individual care they require.
Dr. Srinivasan belongs to a number of professional organizations, including American Academy of Dermatology, American Medical Association, Oregon Dermatology Society and Oregon Medical Association. Dr. Srinivasan also serves as Associate Staff Member at the Salem Hospital.
Preston W. Chadwick, M.D.
As one of our newest staff members, Dr. Chadwick began seeing patients at the Dermatology Clinic in 2014. Dr. Chadwick also currently holds a position as an Associate Staff Member with Salem Hospital.
Dr. Chadwick earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in 2010 and completed his dermatology residency in 2013 at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University where he held the title of Chief Resident. Dr. Chadwick received his Board Certification from the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Marion-Polk County Medical Society and the Oregon Dermatology Society.
Dr. Chadwick strives to earn the trust and respect of his patients by creating an open dialogue where patients feel encouraged to express any concerns or questions they have about the treatment process. The quality of care his patients receives ranks as Dr. Chadwick’s primary concern, and he makes every effort to ensure that each patient has their expectations exceeded following every appointment.
